Hofanti Chokma (to grow well) collaborates with child-serving programs, communities and families to help children thrive through several activities including advisory groups, workshops, parent cafes and more.

Hofanti Chokma offers free, online workshops and classes to the public promoting positive parenting, resilience, and community support.

Core Programs:

  • Parent Cafés
    • A safe environment for parents and caregivers to learn about a variety of topics participate in open discussion. This helps normalize reaching out for support from other parents and builds connections.
  • PAX Tools Workshops
    • Learn fun, evidence-based strategies to teach children with methods contributing to  positive relationships now and leading to improved functioning in adulthood.
  • PAX Good Behavior Game
    • A trauma-informed classroom approach that helps children develop self-regulation and prosocial behaviors. Hofanti Chokma supports PAX training to meet social-emotional learning goals.
  • NEAR Science Training (Neurobiology, Epigenetics, ACEs, and Resilience)
    • Gain insight into how early experiences shape development and how supportive environments can promote healing and resilience.
    • Topics include:
      • Neurobiology: How our brains are shaped by experience.
      • Epigenetics: How trauma can impact future generations.
      • ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences): Understanding the link between early adversity and long-term health.
      • Resilience: Practical ways to support healing and growth.
  • HealthySteps (Ages 0–5)
    • Offered in Chickasaw Nation pediatric clinics, this program provides developmental screenings and access to support services during every well-child visits for children up to 5 years of age. On-site therapists help guide families toward healthy development and needed resources based on identified needs at screenings.
