Chickasaw Nation Residents

The farmers' market program provides a pre-loaded EBT card for the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables at authorized farmers markets and stands from June through October.

Participants must be a WIC participant or a Chickasaw citizen aged 55 and older.

Program Details

The Farmers' Market Program provides benefits via EBT card for the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables at authorized farmers' markets and stands from June through October. Benefits are available from June through September; online applications are available at any Nutrition Services location in Ada, Ardmore, Duncan, Purcell and Tishomingo. WIC farmers' market applications can be found at all Chickasaw Nation WIC Clinics.

The Farmers' Market Program also provides Chickasaw Seniors, ages 55 and over, with winter fruit and vegetable packages to ensure access to produce year-round. This monthly benefit, which is available November to March, can be picked up at any Nutrition Services location in Ada, Ardmore, Duncan, Purcell and Tishomingo.

WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)

WIC FMNP provides $30 via EBT card to all eligible WIC participants who are six months and older for the purchase of healthy fresh fruits and vegetables. Produce can be purchased from authorized farmers’ markets and farm stands throughout the Chickasaw Nation during the Oklahoma growing season, usually June through October. Eligible participants can receive this one-time benefit at any time during the months of June through September. The program serves approximately 3,000 participants during summer.

Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)

Senior FMNP provides $100 via EBT card to all eligible Chickasaw citizens age 55 and older, Chickasaw citizens who are considered 100 percent disabled and Chickasaw Warrior Society Members. In addition they provide $50 via EBT card to eligible Native American Seniors, 55 and older, as well as eligible non-Native American seniors, 60 and older, who reside in a Native American household. These benefits can be used for the purchase of healthy fresh fruits and vegetables, from authorized farmers’ markets and farm stands throughout the Chickasaw Nation. Purchases can be made June through October. Eligible participants can receive this one-time benefit at any time during the months June through September. The program serves approximately 4,200 participants.

Winter Fruit and Vegetable Program for Seniors (WFVP)

The Chickasaw Nation Winter Fruit and Vegetable Program is committed to providing healthy fruits and vegetables to Chickasaw seniors during the winter months to fill the gap between growing seasons in the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.

Regardless of income, all Chickasaw seniors age 55 and older, Chickasaw Warrior Society members and Chickasaw citizens who are 100% disabled receive a variety of healthy fresh, dried and frozen fruits and vegetables each month, from November through March. These may be picked up from any of our five nutrition centers located in Ada, Ardmore, Duncan, Purcell and Tishomingo. Additionally, we offer nutrition education and food preparation demonstrations.

Other Information

WIC FMNP: WIC participants can ask about their benefits at any of the Chickasaw Nation WIC clinics starting June 1, during their regular scheduled appointments.

SFMNP: Qualifying participants can inquire about their benefits at the Ada Nutrition Center, Ardmore Nutrition Center, Duncan Nutrition Center, Tishomingo Nutrition Center or the Purcell Nutrition Center starting June 1.

WFVP: Chickasaw citizens currently participating in the Chickasaw Nation Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program are already enrolled in the Winter Fruit and Vegetable Program and may visit one of our nutrition centers located in Ada, Ardmore, Duncan, Purcell and Tishomingo to receive their fruit and vegetable package. Sites in Tulsa, Colbert and Oklahoma City also served on select dates, please reach out for times and information about those locations.
