Enhanced Tribal Citizenship ID Card (ETC)

The Enhanced Tribal Citizenship ID Card (ETC) is a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI)-compliant identification card issued by the Chickasaw Nation to qualifying tribal citizens. The WHTI requires all travelers, U.S. citizens and foreign nationals alike, to present a passport or other acceptable document that denotes identity and citizenship to U.S. Customs and Border Protection when entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. The ETC may be presented upon entry to the United States at land and sea ports of entry from contiguous territory, such as Canada and Mexico or adjacent islands. Adjacent islands are defined as Bermuda and the islands located in the Caribbean Sea, with the exception of Cuba.

The Chickasaw Nation ETC will provide Chickasaw citizens an identification card that contains modern security features designed to detect forgery and counterfeiting. Chickasaw citizens can also use the ETC for domestic air travel identification purposes and to enter federal buildings.
