Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department
When severe storms, tornadoes, flooding and other natural disasters occur, the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department is here to help. The Lighthorse police are called upon to assist disaster victims within the Chickasaw Nation boundaries and throughout Oklahoma. Lighthorse officers are cross-deputized with other law enforcement agencies and can service communities outside of the Chickasaw Nation when needed.

Chickasaw Nation Geospatial Information (GSI)
The Chickasaw Nation Geospatial Information (GSI) Department uses mapping technology to track storms or natural disasters and assist with disaster relief. With GSI’s mapping system, they can track the storm, determine the damage path and send out a request for emergency help for those who need it. The Chickasaw Nation emergency response teams utilize the maps to locate affected property and help with clean-up efforts.
Storm Shelter Program
Established in 2003 by the Chickasaw Nation Housing Division, the Chickasaw Nation Storm Shelter Program was created to provide shelters to Chickasaw families who privately own their own homes. The program is available to Chickasaw citizens inside and outside of the Chickasaw Nation boundaries. KCNP-Chickasaw Community Radio
During weather emergencies, KCNP-Chickasaw Community Radio can be heard on 89.5 FM in Ada, 89.3 FM in Dickson/Ardmore, 97.3 FM in Connerville/Tishomingo and 104.5 FM in Wynnewood/Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. The stations provide non-commercial community programming to listeners. In the event of disasters, the station continually updates information from emergency managers, law enforcement agencies and the National Weather Service. Listeners can also stream KCNP live at kcnp.org on a computer or smartphone.
