Residency Clinic

Welcome to the Residency Clinic, a premier primary care training center dedicated to nurturing the next generation of family medicine physicians. Family medicine residents are doctors in training who are specializing in family medicine after completing medical school. During their residency, which typically lasts three years, they gain hands-on experience in providing comprehensive healthcare to patients of all ages.

Under the supervision of experienced physicians, family medicine residents develop skills in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, from acute illnesses to chronic diseases. They also focus on preventive care, patient education, and the coordination of care with specialists. Residents rotate through various medical settings, including hospitals, clinics and community health centers, to build a broad foundation in family medicine. Their training prepares them to become well-rounded primary care physicians capable of managing the diverse health care needs of individuals and families.

At our clinic, resident physicians and faculty work hand-in-hand, serving as primary care providers (PCPs) for a select group of adult, pediatric and geriatric patients. This unique setting offers a rich, longitudinal medical education experience that spans various aspects of patient care.

In addition to comprehensive primary care, we offer specialized clinics focusing on key areas such as pediatrics, in-office procedures and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT). These targeted clinics provide enhanced training opportunities, ensuring our residents gain the expertise needed to excel in their chosen fields. At Residency Clinic, we are committed to providing exceptional care while cultivating the skills and knowledge of future healthcare leaders.

Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT)
Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is a hands-on technique used by osteopathic physicians (DOs) to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. It involves manual manipulation of the musculoskeletal system to relieve pain, improve mobility and support the body’s natural healing processes. OMT is tailored to each patient's unique needs and can be used alongside other medical treatments for a holistic approach to health. By focusing on the interconnectedness of the body's systems, OMT helps restore balance and maintain overall well-being.
