The annual Chickasaw Historical Society Conference, Ittafama Ithana, will take place May 21-22 at OKANA Resort and Indoor Waterpark in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This conference encourages cultural involvement and historical awareness to preserve, promote and protect Chickasaw history and culture.
This year, the conference theme is “Weaving the Past Into the Present.”
Registration for the conference is included for Chickasaw Historical Society members and starts at $25 for nonmembers. Registration includes a one-year membership and access to the biannual “Journal of Chickasaw History.”
A reception will take place May 21 from 5-7 p.m. and the conference will continue May 22 from 9-5 p.m. The event will be available in person and via Zoom.
