Being a parent or caregiver in today’s world means being able to create an environment of communication that ultimately helps your children thrive, teaching children to respect themselves and those around them, and showing them how much you care. These traits are also steeped in Chickasaw culture.
The Chickasaw Nation's Hofanti Chokma “to grow well" program offers online workshops, at no cost, to teach positive parenting tips from the PAX Tools program. The PAX Tools are evidence-based strategies that support parents in creating the nurturing environment kids need.
In these workshops parents and caregivers learn how to build and structure their communication with children in order to achieve the best possible outcome. Each attendee will receive a PAX Tools kit to use at home with your children.
Workshops are available on the following dates:
- Jan. 30, from 9 a.m.-noon
