The Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Youth Academy immerses First American youth ages 12-18 in the world of law enforcement. Academy students will learn about defensive tactics, forensic fingerprinting, general safety awareness and crime prevention. The SWAT and dive teams and K-9 unit will provide demonstrations. Students will get a chance to hear from active Lighthorse officers and personnel about the challenges faced in the tribal law enforcement community.
This is a day camp located in Ada, Oklahoma, at the Lighthorse Police Department.
The deadline to apply is April 15. Transportation will not be provided.
