Protect Your Health With Flu Shots
Flu season is approaching, and now is the time to get your annual flu vaccine.
Flu shots offer many benefits for our communities. They prevent the spread of the virus and help reduce sick days from work and school.
The vaccine is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older, including women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, adults ages 65 and older and people with chronic health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Young children and people with disabilities also are at risk for having serious complications or hospitalizations from the flu.
Flu shots are available at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center, satellite clinics and employee clinics.
The public health nursing team will offer the flu vaccination at no cost to the community at the following location:
- Oct. 22 at the Chickasaw Nation Area Office in Purcell, Oklahoma from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
