First Americans with disabilities can access employment services for entering or returning to the workforce. Services are matched with each person’s strengths, resources, priorities, concerns and abilities.

Eligibility

  • Reside within the Chickasaw Nation
  • Be a member of a federally recognized tribe
  • Have a documented physical or mental disability which results in a substantial impediment to employment
  • Require vocational rehabilitation services to attain or maintain suitable employment

Other Information

Application Process

  • Contact the vocational rehabilitation program, either by phone or in person.
  • A vocational rehabilitation team member will take some basic referral information and provide an application packet to complete.
  • A team member will contact you to schedule an appointment with a vocational rehabilitation counselor for an initial interview.

Information Needed at the Initial Interview:

  • Proof of membership in a federally recognized tribe
  • Proof of a physical or mental disability that has kept you from getting or keeping suitable employment
  • Proof of residence within the Chickasaw Nation
  • Proof of income
