Out of an abundance of caution and to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, certain Chickasaw Nation events, classes, facilities, etc., will be postponed, canceled or closed. The 2022 program will be offered virtually to participants age 14-15.
This program provides workforce training and experience to youth ages 14 to 21. Creating a SMART Workforce, the Toksali (to work) SMART (Successful Mindsets with Attitude and Readiness for Tomorrow) program encourages students to develop productive work patterns and behaviors in real-world environments. Innovative partnerships with a variety of community resources provide youth with meaningful job experiences, strengthening the community workforce.
Experiences may include job shadowing, mentoring, leadership opportunities, job training and more.
Paid training sessions are provided as part of the program.
