Eligibility
  • Chickasaw citizen
  • Ages 18 to 25
  • Full-time college student (sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student when submitting application)
  • Cannot be dually enrolled in high school/college at the time of submitting the application
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

* Unpaid internship opportunities may be available for students who do not meet these qualifications.

Program Details

College-aged Chickasaw students learn how to become effective ambassadors and real-world problem-solvers while building relationships within their communities.

During a 6- to 10-week internship, eligible interns receive bi-weekly compensation and are provided housing accommodations. Travel expenses may be covered for eligible participants living outside the job location area.

Applicants who do not meet the eligibility criteria may be able to participate for valuable professional experience without compensation.

Internships are provided within the Chickasaw Nation and at external organizations throughout Oklahoma and other states. Placement is based on the student's major and/or minor field of study.
