Showcasing the art, strength, spirit and creativity of Chickasaw women, the arts and humanities division hosts the “Art of the Chickasaw Woman” exhibit. This exhibit is held in conjunction with the annual Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation Conference.
The exhibit consists of Chickasaw women artists who have the opportunity to submit up to three entries of artwork that can include photography, textiles, traditional, two-dimensional and three-dimensional art.
This artwork will be on display for participants and guests during the conference and forum at the WinStar Convention Center in Thackerville. The exhibit opens with a reception at the conference and forum and then is moved for public display at the Chokma'si Gallery in Ada. The exhibit will be available at the gallery for several weeks for public viewing.
