STEM camps provide youth opportunities to explore science, robotics, space, aviation and more through a wide selection of day camps.

Participants must be Chickasaw citizens, First American citizens or children of Chickasaw Nation employees in the grade listed for each camp. Chickasaw preference will be given.

Program Details

Youth are invited to enjoy a selection of day camps to explore science, robotics, space, aviation and more.

Transportation is not available. Meals will be provided during camp hours.

All science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) day camps take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. unless noted otherwise. Apply online or call the STEM Academy to experience a fun-filled exploration of the world of STEM.

CNASA (Chickasaw Nation Aviation and Space Academy)

The Chickasaw Nation Aviation and Space Academy (CNASA) provides hands-on learning experiences designed to inspire and prepare students for careers in science, technology and aviation. Participants explore aviation and space sciences through interactive lab activities, an introduction to ground school, airport tours, preflight inspections and a pilot Q&A session. Flight opportunities may be available based on age and weather conditions.

  • CNASA Junior Academy (Grades 4-6)
    • Dates: May 28-30, 2025
  • CNASA Senior Academy (Grades 7-12)
    • Dates: June 3-6, 2025

STEMbots!

Students are encouraged to unleash their creativity at our STEM robotics camps! Join us as we build, drive, code and compete in teams. These camps provide a hands-on introduction to our competition leagues and serve as a recruitment opportunity for the Chickasaw Nation robotics teams’ fall season.
No experience is required.

  • LEGO: Students entering grades 4-6
    • Dates: July 16, 2025

Students will explore the basics of robotics using LEGO kits, learning how to design, build and program their creations to perform simple tasks.

  • VEX: Students entering grades 7-8
    • Dates: July 22-24, 2025

This camp builds on foundational robotics concepts, allowing students to construct and program VEX robots. Participants will develop problem-solving and teamwork skills while navigating obstacle courses and completing challenges.

  • FTC: Students entering grades 9-12
    • Dates: July 29-Aug. 1, 2025

Students will engage in advanced robotics and engineering concepts, including hands-on design, 3D printing, CNC (computer numerical control) and CAD (computer-aided design) demonstrations, coding exercises and a team-based robot competition.

FemSTEM

Female students entering grades 6-12.

A unique opportunity tailored to girls promoting STEM educational paths in hands-on activities and professional speakers through the Chickasaw Nation STEM Academy. FemSTEM exposes young, female learners to new ideas and inspires participants using meaningful experiences, encouraging them to pursue careers in STEM fields.

Activities include career discovery, lectures, demonstrations, exercises and Q&A sessions with various female STEM-field professionals.

Dates: July 8-11, 2025

Junior Native Explorers (JNE) Day Camp

Students entering grades 1-3

Junior Native Explorers is an educational program designed to recruit, train and educate young people in the areas of earth and natural sciences.
Explorers can enjoy hands-on science experiments, presentations and exploration.

Dates: June 25, 2025
