Chickasaw Nation Residents

STEM camps provide youth opportunities to explore science, robotics, space, aviation and more through a wide selection of day camps.

Participants must be Chickasaw citizens, First American citizens or children of Chickasaw Nation employees in the grade listed for each camp. Chickasaw preference will be given.

Program Details

Youth are invited to enjoy a selection of day-camps to explore science, robotics, space, aviation and more.

Transportation is not available. Meals will be provided during camp hours.

All science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) day camps take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. unless noted otherwise. Apply online or call the STEM Academy to experience fun-filled exploration of the world of STEM.

CNASA Junior Academy: Chickasaw Nation Aviation and Space Academy

Students entering grades 4-6

CNASA Junior Academy is an educational exploration designed to inspire, motivate and challenge youth to ignite a desire to pursue careers in science, technology, and aviation.

CNASA Senior Academy: Chickasaw Nation Aviation and Space Academy

Students entering grades 7-12

CNASA Senior Academy expands on the mission of our junior academy and includes a three-day aviation experience.

Explore aviation and space sciences with physics experiments, aviation career lectures, static aircraft displays, ground school introduction, preflight inspection and a pilot Q/A session.

Robotics Lab

Students entering grades 8-12

Tour and tinker in our STEM robotics lab. Come and test your skills at building and driving robots during this three-day event. No experience necessary. All you need is an open mind!

Activities include robotic leagues demonstrations for all applicable ages, design exercises, 3D printing, CNC (computer numeric control), CAD (computer-aided drawing) demonstrations and coding exercises.

Interested students can apply to join the Chickasaw Nation robotics teams.

Intro to LEGO Robotics

Students entering grades 4-7

Do you love LEGOs? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to make your LEGO creations move on their own? If so, this is the camp for you!

Come explore the possibilities with LEGO robotics during this two-day event.

Campers participate in critical thinking design exercises, LEGO building, coding and autonomous robot course navigation.

FemSTEM

Female students entering grades 6-12

A unique opportunity tailored to girls promoting STEM educational paths in hands-on activities and professional speakers through the Chickasaw Nation STEM Academy. FemSTEM exposes young, female learners to new ideas and inspires participants using meaningful experiences, encouraging them to pursue careers in STEM fields.

Activities include career discovery, lectures, demonstrations, exercises and Q&A sessions with various female STEM-field professionals.

Junior Native Explorers (JNE) Day Camp

Students entering grades 1-3

Junior Native Explorers is an educational program designed to recruit, train and educate young people in the areas of earth and natural sciences.

Explorers can enjoy hands-on science experiments, presentations and exploration.

The application deadline for STEM day camps is April 15.
