Chickasaw Arts Academy

The Chickasaw Arts Academy is an intensive set of sessions throughout the year that provide youth the opportunity to gain experience in several artistic fields.

The summer session is organized into separate tracks determined by the student’s age and experience as defined through skill assessments. The tracks offered for the summer session are: fine arts rotation, intermediate, minor and major levels.

The summer session takes place for two weeks on the campus of East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, during July. The summer session runs daily from 8a.m.-5p.m. and will feature a gallery walk on the last Friday evening and a showcase on the final Saturday morning. This allows us to celebrate the student works that were created while attending the academy.

All of the students in the program receive special cultural enrichment in Chickasaw and Southeast Native American cultures.

  • Intermediate level - ages 11-13
