ADA, Okla. – The Chickasaw Nation offers free tax preparation assistance to the public for individuals and families who earned less than $55,000 in 2018. The service is available on a walk-in basis.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will be available through March and April at locations in Ada, Ardmore, Davis, Norman, Oklahoma City and Thackerville.

Participants are asked to bring two forms of identification, their Social Security card, a photo ID, Social Security cards for dependents, all W-2 and 1099 forms, as well as any other documents needed to complete a tax return. A copy of last year’s tax return should also be provided, especially for new VITA clients. A voided check is required for direct deposit of refunds.
