The Chickasaw Nation Literary Arts Division is accepting presentation proposals for the 2025 Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation (DWCN) Conference now through Jan. 31.
The conference takes place May 29-30 at the WinStar Convention Center in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
The DWCN Conference is a platform to showcase and recognize the dynamic and exceptional women of the Chickasaw Nation. Individuals interested in submitting presentation proposals are asked to focus on First American and women’s issues to fulfill the conference’s purpose within the theme, “Honoring our Past, Shaping our Future.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy presentations, breakout sessions and audience-driven forums.
Presenters from the 2024 Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation Conference included 2023 Dynamic Woman Nancy Howell as well as an array of unique breakout sessions ranging from First American art expressions to Chickasaw storytelling.
Presentation proposals may be for single presentations for the general session or for one of the breakout sessions. Presentations for breakout sessions may be informational, interactive or discussion based.
General sessions are 45 minutes with approximately 150-200 attendees, and breakout sessions are 55 minutes with approximately 20-50 attendees.
