  • The comfortable, cool interior of the McSwain Theatre will offer an entertaining getaway through July with the Children’s Summer Movie Series. There will be two show times, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., every Tuesday and Wednesday, excluding national holidays.

ADA, Okla. -- This July, the Children’s Summer Movie Series at the historic McSwain Theatre will feature contemporary animated films with a $1 admission, including movies like “Coco,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Moana,” among others.

These movies offer an escape from the Oklahoma heat as students take a break from school.

Jae L. Stilwell, McSwain general manager, said the theatre chooses films for the Children’s Summer Movie Series keeping the McSwain’s desire to remain family-friendly in mind. All films are rated either G or PG.

She added the theatre’s comfortable cream-colored seats, cool air and tasty refreshments offer both youngsters and adults a pleasurable summer escape.

There will be two show times, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., every Tuesday and Wednesday through July excluding national holidays.

10, 11 “Tangled”

17, 18 “Coco”

24, 25 “Moana”

31 “The Little Mermaid”
