  • The Chickasaw School of Guitar is accepting applications. Classes take place on Tuesday evenings and begin in September.

ADA, Okla. – The Chickasaw Nation is accepting applications for the Chickasaw School of Guitar.

Chickasaw School of Guitar brings music to life by providing students with instruction and the opportunity to perform in a spring concert at the McSwain Theater upon successful completion of learning skills.

Chickasaw School of Guitar classes begin in September and run through March.

Lessons will take place Tuesday evenings at the art and music facility, 816 Arlington Center, with intermediate guitar at 4 p.m., beginner guitar and guitar basics at 5 p.m. and adult/advanced guitar at 6 p.m.

Students who show commitment to the program by attending classes and practicing may qualify to receive a guitar after completing the course. Guitars are awarded to encourage continued growth and life enhancement through music.

School of Guitar instructors have a combined 40 years of teaching experience and have played professionally using many genres of music styles.

The School of Guitar is open to the public. Students ages 12 through 18 are eligible to apply.
