ADA, Okla. -- The Chickasaw Nation will offer an interactive science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workshop for middle school girls 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the STEM Academy, 301 Seabrook Road, Ada.

This “FemSTEM” workshop is fashioned to engage middle school girls in science fields. Students will get firsthand experience with activities provided by STEM professionals and also build and play with FIRST LEGO League Sumobots.

Lunch will be provided.

Attendance is open to all female students, Native American and non-Native, currently enrolled in middle school. Availability is limited and registration necessary. Students must RSVP by Oct. 9.
