Oklahoma elected officials have been working diligently during difficult fiscal times to develop a budget that meets the needs of all Oklahomans. Recent revenue shortfalls pose serious challenges to core services that play a fundamental role in moving our state forward.

Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby said the Oklahoma Senate and the House Budget Committee have set a good example regarding House Bill 1054X. The bill would help fill the current revenue shortfall and provide recurring revenue for Oklahoma.

“It is essential that we continue to work together with the State of Oklahoma to enhance the quality of life of all Oklahomans by supporting funding for education, health care and other crucial services. The full House should follow the lead of their colleagues on the house budget committee to pass this much-needed legislation.”
