Release Date: November 30, 2017

by Chickasaw Nation Media Relations Office

Angels for this year’s Angel Tree program are available for adoption at Chickasaw Nation area offices across south central Oklahoma. Program coordinators ask participants to adopt and return unwrapped gifts by Friday, Dec. 8.

The number of children represented on the Angel Trees increases each year and this year’s involvement is up 21 percent.

Angels at Chickasaw Nation area offices are 17 years and younger, belong to a federally-recognized tribe and live within the boundaries of the Chickasaw Nation.

Angel Tree is an annual holiday assistance program that allows community members to share gifts. Participant gift-givers can adopt an angel from a tree and provide listed items to specific children, maintaining the magic of the season.

The program was originally established by the Salvation Army in 1979 and has since spread to organizations and communities who want to give back during the joyful season.

For more information, call the Pauls Valley area office at 405-207-9883. Visit the following locations to adopt an angel.
