Certified Breastfeeding Educator Seminar Planned

The Chickasaw Nation Nutrition Services Department is hosting a three-day Certified Breastfeeding Educator Seminar at the Chickasaw Youth and Family Services Media Conference Room in Ada, Oklahoma on Wednesday, May 10 through Friday, May 12, 2006.

Chickasaw Foundation Announces Scholarship Deadline

Twenty-nine Chickasaw Foundation scholarships are now available for the 2006-2007 school year. The application deadline for all scholarships is June 1, 2006.

Boys & Girls Clubs Begin Diabetes Prevention Program

The Chickasaw Nation Boys & Girls Clubs are pleased to announce they have received funding for a new Diabetes Prevention Program. The Indian Health Service (IHS), National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), Boys & Girls Clubs of America(BGCA) and Nike, Inc. have partnered to create a program aimed at reducing the onset of diabetes among Native American youth.

Chickasaw Nation holds Marlow/Duncan community dinner

Over 100 guests attended the community dinner July 20 at the Simmons Center in Duncan. Visitors learned about tribal services and expansion projects within the tribe. Guests were later served a meal by tribal employees.
