Head Start Graduations

The Chickasaw Nation Head Start program conducted six Head Start graduations during the month of May. More than 150 Head Start students graduated from the Ada, Ardmore, Duncan, Madill, Sulphur and Tishomingo Head Start centers.

White House Kite Flying

Chickasaw White House Kite Flying.  Children were given kites to fly in the front yard of the White House in Emet Oklahoma.

Chickasaw Foundation T-Ball Tournament

Chickasaw Foundation T-Ball tournament. Eight teams comprised of 5 and 6 year olds competed. The tournament took place at the Kiwanis ball park in Ada.

Princess Program Information Fair

Princess Program Information Fair held at the Ada Community Center.  Tables presenting the different aspects of the Princess Program were set up for girls to get as much information as possible about becoming a Chickasaw Princess.

Head Start Cultural Preservation/Little Olympics Day

Chickasaw Nation Head Start Cultural Preservation/Little Olympics Day. The event took place at the First Baptist Church gym in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Some of the booths setup included nutritional snack making, storytelling, Chickasaw language games, face painting, and archery to name a few.

Camp Hayaka Unta Spring

Photos from the 2009 Spring Hayaka Unta camp. The three day event included hiking, fishing, making dream catchers, clay target shooting, archery, bow-making and a chili cook-off. The camp was held at the Chickasaw Ranch in Davis, Oklahoma.

FIRST Robotics: Regional Competition

Photos from the Oklahoma City F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Competition. Chickasaw Nation's Metal Mayhem (#2352) competed in the event. The competition was two days held in the Cox Convention Center.

Elder's Valentine Sweetheart Banquet

Event Date: 02/13/2009

2009 Elder's Valentine Sweetheart Banquet was held at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center in Tishomingo on February 13, 2009.  Each senior site chose a King and Queen or two Sweethearts to represent them.  The event had entertainment, lunch and chocolate covered strawberries from BedrĂ© Fine Chocolates.
