The Chickasaw Nation Arts & Humanities Division presents the 72-Hour Photography Competition, hosted by the Chokma′si Gallery in Ada, Oklahoma.
There will be three categories: youth, amateur and professional. Photographers must register by Aug. 30 to join the competition. Applications will not be considered complete until the nonrefundable entry fee of $30 is received.
The competition theme will be announced at 5 p.m., Sept. 6. Once the theme is announced, photographers will have 72 hours to take and submit up to two photos. Digital editing, such as Photoshop, is not allowed. Photos must be submitted to ArtistInfo@Chickasaw.net before 5 p.m., Sept. 9 to be eligible.
Winners will be announced Oct. 25 during an awards reception at Chokma’si Gallery, located at 201 N. Broadway Ave., in Ada, Oklahoma. The reception will begin at 6 p.m. and feature a gallery showcase of the competition entries.
