When Deloris, a Reno lounge singer, accidentally witnesses a murder, she is placed in witness protection at a convent. As Sister Mary Clarence, she struggles to adjust to her new life but soon finds purpose by transforming the struggling choir and helping the nuns discover their voices. When her true identity is revealed, Deloris must depend on her new friends to keep her safe.
