Throughout the week of April 20, the Chickasaw Nation Tribal Library is showcasing the National Library Week theme “Find Your Joy!"
Programming includes activities for all ages. There will also be a drawing for a Chickasaw Press gift basket, with free entry for all patrons.
Chickasaw Nation citizens living in the 74820/74821 ZIP codes and all current Chickasaw Nation employees are eligible to receive a library card. Applications and instructions are available at the library and online at Chickasaw.net/Library.
Below is the full schedule of events available each day from 3-5 p.m.:
- April 20:
- Write to Read Day: Participate in a creative writing exercise
- April 21:
- Learn about Chickasaw history and earn prizes
- April 22:
- Write letters or make cards for Chickasaw elders
- April 23:
- Craft handmade instruments
- April 24:
- Enjoy popcorn, snacks and drinks while watching a movie
