History camp is a four-day camp that educates youth, ages 8-14, about Chickasaw history in a fun, engaging manner. Participants will visit the Chickasaw Capitol Building, Chickasaw Council House Museum, Boggy Depot Park, Fort Washita and the Chickasaw White House to learn the cultural and historical significance of each site.
Participants can also enjoy cultural arts, activities and games, Chickasaw language demonstrations, canon demonstrations, fishing and kite flying during the camp.
Chickasaw youth, children of Chickasaw Nation employees, and Pomiksa’ Chikasha members are eligible to apply. Chickasaw preference will be given. Transportation will be provided from Ada to Tishomingo.
