Celebrate the vibrancy of the monarch butterfly, Saturday, Sept. 14 during the Monarch Butterfly Day event at the Chickasaw Cultural Center.
Engage in hands-on activities with expert conservationists and immerse yourself in a butterfly tent with orange wings fluttering about. Don’t miss your opportunity to take home a caterpillar! Watch it spread its wings over time into a majestic butterfly you can release into the wild. The horticulture team will also provide pollinator plants to aid in personal conservation efforts.
Coinciding with the Monarch Butterfly Day festivities, regular scheduled cultural activities and demonstrations will continue to occur across campus from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
