In the Chickasaw language, lowak sho′li means “to carry the fire.” This is an annual forum to encourage First American youth and college students to pursue a career in arts and humanities.
This year’s theme is “First Americans in Medicine.” Panelists include Dr. Jesicah Gilmore, Dr. Judy Goforth Parker, Dr. John Krueger and Dr. Brandon Postoak. Ethan Cox will be moderating.
The event will take place at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center, located at 700 N. Mississippi Ave. in Ada, Oklahoma.
