Chickasaw veterans over age 60 can apply for an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., Nov. 9-13. Participants will visit major war monuments, Smithsonian museums and Arlington National Cemetery, tour the U.S. Capitol and enjoy many other activities over five days.
Participants are selected by year(s) served, with veterans who served first attending first. Elders will be notified of acceptance by Sept. 27. Chickasaw elders only need to apply once to be considered for future opportunities.
Expenses for travel, meals and lodging will be provided. Elders may be joined by one companion during the Chickasaw Elder Veterans Trip. Their companion must be a spouse or blood relative who is at least 21 years old and able to care for themselves and their elder.
