The 2020 Artesian Arts Festival, set for May 23, has been canceled. As the coronavirus, or COVID-19, spreads globally and cases rise in the United States, including Oklahoma, the Chickasaw Nation has canceled the annual event out of an abundance of caution.
Art Market
In 2019, one of America’s fastest-growing American Indian art markets saw more than 11,000 attendees and featured 125 elite American Indian artists from 19 different tribes.
The market offers a diverse art media and a vast selection of visual art including paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, beadwork, textiles, basketry and metalwork. Enjoy a wide variety of tribal dance demonstrations, musical entertainment, artist talks, food vendors and children’s activities.
Located on the beautiful Artesian Plaza in downtown Sulphur, Oklahoma, the Artesian Arts Festival is nestled among the Artesian Hotel and Casino, the Artesian Gallery and Studios, the Chickasaw National Recreation Area and numerous boutiques and shops.
Call for Artists
Artists are encouraged to apply for the art market and juried competition. Our hospitality to artists is second to none. The call to artists deadline for the 2021 festival will be announced soon.
