The Indian Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association recently announced the opening of applications for its annual G. William Rice Memorial Scholarship. This $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a second or third year law school student who intends to practice Indian law in Oklahoma.

Scholarship applications are accepted through May 23. The recipient will be announced at the annual Sovereignty Symposium presented by the Oklahoma Supreme Court in June.

Applications must include:

  • Cover letter describing commitment to practice Indian law in Oklahoma
  • Résumé describing Indian law-related activities
  • Transcript
  • Academic or professional reference letter
