ADA, Okla. – The Chickasaw Theatre Company will host open auditions for “Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol Radio Hour” from 11 a.m. -12:30 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 23, at the Chickasaw Nation Arts & Humanities building, 201 N. Broadway, Ada.

“Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol” is the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a mean-spirited old man, who is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. “A Christmas Carol Radio Hour” is set on Christmas Eve in 1942 in a radio studio. The cast will portray several characters and be “acting” with their voices through microphones to perform the radio show.

The audition is open to everyone age 16 and over with Chickasaw preference. Roles for three females and four males are available.

Actors will read from a script. No experience necessary. A tentative rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.

The show is set for Dec. 14-16, 7 p.m.
