ADA, Okla. – The Chickasaw Nation is offering tax preparation assistance to the public at no charge for individuals and families who earned less than $54,000 in 2016. The service is offered on a walk-in basis.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will be available until April 13 at locations in Ada, Norman, Oklahoma City, Ardmore and Thackerville.
Participants are asked to bring two forms of identification, their Social Security card, a photo ID, all Social Security cards for dependents, all W2 and 1099 forms, as well as any other documents needed to complete a tax return. A copy of last year’s tax return should also be provided. A voided check is required for direct deposit of refunds.

Now until April 13, 1-5 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Chickasaw Nation Headquarters Treasury Building, 515 Arlington.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 29 at the Riverwind Casino Hotel’s Diamond Room, 1544 W. State Hwy 9.
9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, March 8 at the Oklahoma City Office’s conference room, 4001 N. Lincoln Blvd.
9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 22 at the Ardmore Community Center’s conference room, 907 Locust St.
9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday Feb. 22; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 21 at the WinStar World Casino and Resort’s global event center, 777 Casino Ave.
