Connect to your ancestors with the help of a tribal genealogist. The Chickasaw Nation tribal library assists the public with basic ancestry research and searches for ancestors who may be listed on the Dawes Rolls of the Five Civilized Tribes.
To start your Dawes Roll search with a tribal genealogist, it is best to have the first and last name, birth date and death date of your ancestor who was living in historic Indian Territory between 1898-1914.
Below are free resources with information that may help you get started.
