Chickasaw Nation Diabetes Prevention Program

The Chickasaw Nation Diabetes Prevention Program is offering diabetes prevention classes, for diagnosed pre-diabetics, and those at risk for developing type two diabetes, beginning January 2019.

The program encourages lifestyle behavior changes to achieve manageable weight loss through healthy eating, increasing physical activity, developing healthy coping skills and practicing strategies to manage stress and setbacks.

This program consists of 16 meetings, over six months, plus six monthly meetings afterward. The meetings will last approximately one hour. A schedule of class dates will be provided at the first session.
