Be a Leader! Chikasha Pehlichi Ikbi Now Accepting Applications

Date: April 27, 2021

Chickasaw students are invited to develop their leadership potential with the Chickasaw Nation Chikasha Pehlichi Ikbi (Youth Leadership) (CPI) Program.

Chikasha Pehlichi Ikbi helps middle and high school students engage in leadership development opportunities. The program aims to enhance leadership qualities of youth, ages 14-18, in the Chickasaw Nation.

CPI participants can obtain leadership and cultural knowledge in a virtual setting, interact with prestigious tribal, state and community leaders, gain experience in a variety of leadership virtual settings and learn skills to serve as ambassadors in their communities.

Through this program, Chickasaw youth will refine their knowledge of Chickasaw culture, learn about other First American cultures, as well as develop life skills, social skills and prepare for higher education to help them grow and become resourceful, impactful adults.

The program will take place from March to July. There is no application deadline.

Applicants who live outside Chickasaw Nation’s boundaries are also encouraged to apply.
