Event Dates:

February 01, 2019-April 28, 2019

Event Details:

The Chickasaw Cultural Center’s newest exhibit honors Native American art, family and creative traditions that are shared between generations through an art show celebrating family bonds and cultural ties that inspire contemporary Native American artists.

Lines of Lineage: The Influence of Ancestry on Contemporary Native Artists highlights modern Chickasaw artists, as well as Cherokee, Kiowa, Muscogee (Creek), Ponca and Sac & Fox tribal artists. This exhibit speaks to the memories, stories and experiences that connect each artist to his or her tribal lineage and pays tribute to the art-making families who carry forward and pass down their unique artistic traditions.

Exhibit is on display in the AapisaźžŒ Art Gallery through April 28.
