The Division of History and Culture's main purpose is to preserve our heritage of history, language and culture of the Chickasaw Nation. The division offers history, traditional storytelling, cultural education classes, as well as information on cemetery preservation and repatriation.

Culture and history presentations have taken place at numerous public schools, senior citizen sites, Chickasaw Annual meeting and Festival, Chikasha Ittifama, youth camps, new employee orientation and Chickasaw princess orientation. Most oral presentations consist of the pre-removal period involving homelands east of the Mississippi, along with displays of traditional items, such as ball sticks, regalia and turtle or "can" shakers.
