Lowak Shoppala' Premieres Nov. 21

The department of special projects provides support and assistance to programs and projects unique within the division, as well as assisting in the overall reporting, documentation and planning of the division projects. In addition, the department facilitates - through research, creation and implementation - continuing education and professional development training for all staff within the division.

Projects and Activities:

  • Chickasaw Elders Paintings Projects with Chickasaw artist Mike Larsen
  • Annual Chickasaw Summer Arts Academy (CSAA)
  • Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate Composer's Project - Continental Harmony
  • Chickasaw Chamber Music Festival
  • Annual Southeastern Art Show and Market (SEASAM)
  • "Te Ata" - a play with music by Chickasaw playwright JudyLee Oliva
