Camp Survivor

Camp Survivor is a wellness camp that incorporates activities promoting physical, mental, cultural and spiritual health. Throughout the week, campers participate in numerous activities, including swimming, hiking, fishing, archery, canoeing, rock-climbing, stickball and nutrition education. Campers also compete in mental and physical challenges and attend daily “tribal councils,” where individuals and groups receive special recognition. This is an overnight camp.

You Provide

  • Chickasaw citizenship card or CDIB card

Eligibility

  • Native American children, ages 9-13 or entering grades four-eight
  • Chickasaw preference

Other Information

While attending the camp, students are educated on the proper nutrition, ways to exercise and various other tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Camp Survivor will take place at the YMCA owned Camp Classen, near Davis, Okla.

Participants must have transportation to and from camp.
